JUBILEE LEADERS HIT OUT AT RUTO

A section of Jubilee Party leaders have said that the recent rally held in Bomet County by opposition leaders will no sway their supporters.
The leaders say Bomet is Jubilee’s stronghold, and will vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta as a bloc come 2017 polls.
The rally was held to welcome Governor Isaac Ruto who was in South Africa for specialised treatment following a scuffle during a football match in the county, which left him with an injury below his right eye.
It was attended by Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, Kanu Chairman Gideon Moi, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Kisumu's Jack Ranguma, ODM Chairman John Mbadi and a number of Jubilee rebel MPs.
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso, who has declared interest in Ruto’s seat, said the outspoken governor had joined the opposition alone.
Laboso maintained that Bomet is a Jubilee zone and the Chama Cha Mashinani party leader cannot change that.
“We thought it was a prayer rally but it seems it was a political rally. We are wondering if the governor was truly injured or he was just playing games. Bomet County is a Jubilee zone and the governor cannot continue lying that he supports President Kenyatta when he is befriending the opposition,” she said.
Another Bomet gubernatorial hopeful, Dr Julius Kones, said the rally would not change the minds of his supporters ahead of 2017 general election.
“Most people have not been swayed. They will still remain with Jubilee but we will redouble our efforts to ensure no one leaves.”
Governor Ruto had accused the Jubilee Party of forcing Bomet residents to support them.
He has been on record saying Kenyans will vote out the Jubilee administration in 2017 polls.

Back from the dead: Controversial preacher claims to have brought a little boy back to life

A controversial pastor who once insisted God had blessed him with a private jet that no one else can see has now claimed to have brought a little boy back from the dead.
Bizarre footage shot inside a church in the South African city of Pretoria shows healers purportedly reviving a youngster they say had been declared dead by doctors.
The boy can be seen hanging lifeless and floppy in the arms of prophet Shepherd Bushiri.
As the prophet stumbles around holding the boy, the youngster's head flops limply back and forth, with the supposed resurrecting service appearing to tire the pastor.
Other men go to support Bushiri as he falls to the floor before the watching congregation of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church, who hold their hand out towards the boy as if helping to heal him.
The footage, which has gone viral, then shows the young boy being blessed with holy anointing oil, named the Lion of Judah.
We do not see the boy wake up but the footage then cuts to the youngster sitting on his father's knee, alive and awake.
He is handed a commemorative cloth which claims he was healed by the Malawian prophet Bushiri, who is well known for his controversial claims and lively Sunday services.
He previously claimed that God granted him with a private jet that no one was allowed to see but him.
He has also released a video in which he purports to "walk on air" - a claim rubbished as "fake" by beady-eyed viewers who pointed to the shadow of a man supporting him.

I was misquoted, Ranguma says on reports ODM rallies slowing Kisumu growth

I was misquoted, Ranguma says on reports ODM rallies slowing Kisumu growth

Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma with World Bank representative Frank Twagira (L) during the launch of the e-license platform, December 7, 2016.

Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has dismissed claims that he cannot effectively serve residents because of numerous ODM rallies that he must attend.
Ranguma said he was quoted out of context but added he is a life member of the party, keen on implementing its manifesto on matters development.
Sections of the media reported the Governor as saying the rallies were to blame for the slow development in his county.
Ranguma said the comments could easily be interpreted to mean that ODM is anti-development, "which is not the case in Kisumu".
"Anyone issuing such remarks is just being petty and is out to malign my name and that of the party," he said in a statement on Thursday.
"As an ODM Governor, it is the manifesto of the party that I implement in Kisumu."
Ranguma further said that the county, being the centre of focus for rating the performance of devolved units, cannot afford to lag behind in development.
"And while ensuring we grow the county's economy, I also work hard to ensure our leader Raila Odinga captures the Presidency in 2017," he added.
He urged party members and his supporters to "ignore such irresponsible reporting".
The Governor made the comments a day after the county launched the Sh15 million electronic trade licensing (e-TL) system in partnership with World Bank.
Ranguma said the system will help the business fraternity in his county access and submit trade licence and public health certificate application forms online.
He said the system is aimed at boosting revenue collection and easing the process of doing business by enhancing accountability, transparency and efficiency.
Ranguma further noted that the e-TL, formerly known as the Single Business Permit (e-SBP), will transform ways of doing business in Kisumu.
Kisumu was recently ranked by the World Bank as the best in terms of ease of doing business.
World Bank representative Frank Twagira on Wednesday said the county was among those where approvals for building plans are obtained quickly.
"Devoid of bureaucracies, the digital system has reduced the human tendency to delay processes," he said. "This is besides promoting an environment that encourages external investment."

Political aspirant reveals why he clobbered Homa Bay MP in front of Raila Odinga

Homa Bay Parliamentary aspirant Washington Ogaga wrestled down area MP Peter Kaluma in a public brawl during the ODM rally. He says he has since recorded a statement even though Homa Bay County Police Commandant John Omusanga did not confirm any such statements being made with the police.
Ogaga said he was assaulted and he beat Kaluma in self-defense as Kaluma had ‘pushed him to the wall’ and he had been ‘on his neck,’ hurling unprintable insults since he declared interest in the Homa Bay seat.
“Kaluma has even called me a morgue attendant and a failure who should not be competing with him, yet I am a qualified Biomedical Engineer,” said Ogaga who was previously based in the UK.
The brawl happened after party officials left Waondo Village where they had attended a memorial service for the late Senator Otieno Kajwang and proceeded to the county stadium for a public rally.
Ogaga explains that it was at the stadium where all hell broke loose after his turn to speak saw his supporters surging forward with his portrait as Kaluma rallied his supporters as well.
“The MP then moved to me and told me to instruct my supporters to move back, but when I declined he started insulting me and threw a jab and a kick which I did not allow to land on me. Then I grabbed him and wrestled him down.”
Kaluma and Ogaga were separated by colleagues and security personnel prompting a fracas that lasted ten minutes.
But Kaluma now says he was protecting ‘Baba’ when he was attacked by ‘someone he never knew’, only to realise it was ‘Washington Ogaga, area parliamentary aspirant’ he has been reading about on social media.
Kaluma claims that Ogaga was part of a group hiring goons to boo ‘Baba’ during rallies and he had also opposed supporters carrying unwanted banners to the rally.
“I was not meant to be at the rally. My children were to be baptised on the same day, but I changed my mind at the last minute and begged the church to allow me postpone the baptism so that I could welcome ‘Baba’ in my constituency,” explained Kaluma, adding “as I stood on the podium to ask people to keep away any other banners, someone pounced on me from behind and threw me to the ground.”
It was at this point that he ‘acted in self-defense’ by kicking away the ‘strange man’, leading to fracas which saw security personnel firing in the air to disperse the surging crowd.
Kaluma promised he will not take legal action arguing that beating Ogaga at the ballot would be a fair game since “Up to now I do not have a competitor and I believe I will be re-elected Homa Bay MP unopposed. Those are just some of the challenges in politics, and I would not wish that the party disqualify him over his conduct, but leave him to compete so that I defeat him fairly.”
Although Ogaga called for a truce ODM party has indicated it will take action. “We are doing our own investigations and will announce our actions after giving both of them right of reply,” said party chairman John Mbadi.

Signs that his porn addiction is the cause to your failed sex life

It has come to your attention that something is terribly amiss with your spouse.
He just hasn’t been himself lately. The happy-go-lucky guy you married is now a closed book. He seems aloof and all his activities are shrouded in secrecy. He suffers random bouts of mood swings. Communication is dwindling. He has become a permanent fixture in front of his laptop and is irritable when disrupted.
It is not uncommon to find out that he stayed up till the wee hours of the morning doing God knows what on his laptop.
Whenever you question his motives, he gets on the offensive. Your sex life is in a rut. Hard as you try, he just doesn’t seem interested anymore.
That sexy red lingerie doesn’t turn him on anymore. He avoids the marital bed like a plague and always has a mouthful of excuses handy when you demand an explanation. Your gut tells you that he is up to no good, but you can’t quite put a finger on it. Is he having an affair? Highly unlikely. He has never been much of the philandering type, and besides, he barricades himself indoors whenever he is not at work.
A glance at his Google search history gives you a little insight into his ‘extracurricular’ activity. Your worst fears are confirmed when you go through his bookmarked sites. You have stumbled on a startling discovery, your husband has a predilection for pornography! He has been locking himself up to visit porn websites and adult chat rooms.
Further investigation leads you to his secret stash. Volumes of pictures of women in various forms of undress. A confrontation ensues. He breaks down and admits he is addicted to pornography. At least he is not having an affair. Not a physical one anyway. But that doesn’t make you feel any better. Your husband has been neglecting you for some fake bimbos on the Internet!

You did everything right. You followed those successful marriage self-help books to the letter. Now it feels like your whole marriage was a charade. While he was making love to you, he was probably thinking about his fantasy women. You can bet your left foot that he most likely had a quick glance at his stash to get in the mood.
What constitutes addiction to pornography? The first indication of a pornography addiction is withdrawal: both physically and emotionally. Porn addicts live in a world of fantasy. They isolate themselves from the world so they can live out their daydream. The deeper they delve into this horrible vice, the more deviant their taste becomes. If you find yourself looking for pornography that would have previously disgusted you, you are well on your way to becoming a porn addict.
Just like all other addictions, the first step is for the affected person to accept that they have a problem and seek help immediately.
His porn addiction stems from his own psychological issues that have nothing to do with you. The best you can do is support him in his quest for rehabilitation. What else would you do if you found out your partner is addicted to porn?
