President
Uhuru Kenyatta will launch the Mbita-Rusinga course way on Wednesday July 12
during his maiden trip to Homabay County since he was elected in office in 2013.
Uhuru will also tour Kisumu County days after his rival Raila Odinga campaigned
in his Kiambu stronghold. It will also be interesting to see if Mbita MP Millie
Odhiambo, the president fiercest critic will be at hand to welcome him. During
his tour to Kisumu, Uhuru will commission the Ahero-Kisii-Isebania road
construction.
He will also launch the KSh 15 billion East Africa Breweries
plant in Kisumu which he recently announced will provide many jobs to locals. The
president will at the same time address rallies in Siaya, Homabay and Migori
counties during his whirlwind tour in Nyanza.
Uhuru will also receive a group of
politicians who are expected to announce their defection from ODM to Jubilee.
His tour comes just a week after his rival Raila held a one-day tour to Kiambu
county which is Uhuru’s stronghold.
