NASA has gained a major boost in
its restriction against the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
This is after they were granted a
read only copy of information relating to elections and equipment used by IEBC.
Earlier the Supreme court allowed
NASA to file evidence that the forms IEBC had submitted to the court were
forgeries.
The access however is restricted
as NASA will only access read only documents and their access to the
equipment used in the elections has been restricted.According to the
Supreme court, this is meant to protect the integrity of the IEBC data and its
equipment.
The decision of the court was
read early today by Justice Isaac Lenaola. Supreme
court proceeding..
Under supervision of Supreme
court registrar Esther Nyaiyaki,NASA will only gain access to Kenya Integrated
election management systems (KIEMS) kits,select servers among other data and
equipment it had asked yto be given access to for audit.
